QoEAgent Launches AI-Driven Financial Due Diligence Platform and Formalizes Technology License with CU Boulder

Platform automates proof-of-cash reconciliation to support faster, more transparent quality-of-earnings analysis in private-company transactions.

QoEAgent announced the launch of its AI-driven financial due diligence platform designed to automate proof-of-cash reconciliations for small and lower-middle-market business acquisitions. The company also announced that it has formalized a technology licensing agreement with CU Boulder Venture Partners, bringing artificial intelligence research developed at the University into the private-company transaction ecosystem.

QoEAgent was founded by finance professionals Ron Neufeld and Josh Cashman and CU Boulder Computer Science Professor,  Dr. Tom Yeh, at University of Colorado Boulder. The venture combines decades of transaction advisory experience with academic research in artificial intelligence and human-centered computing.

Neufeld and Cashman previously worked together for years advising buyers and investors on private-company transactions before launching QoEAgent. Through that work, they repeatedly encountered the same challenge: critical diligence processes such as proof-of-cash reconciliation remain highly manual, time-consuming, and expensive.

QoEAgent was created to address that problem.

The platform reconciles general ledger activity to independently prepared bank statements and automatically produces GAAP-style financial views including monthly and twelve-month balance sheets and income statements for the due diligence period, and cash flow statement for the trailing twelve-month period. These outputs support more efficient quality-of-earnings analysis and help buyers, advisors, and investors evaluate financial performance with greater speed and transparency. The platform is designed with strict data privacy and security controls to protect sensitive target-company financial information throughout the diligence process.

“After years of working on transactions together, we saw firsthand how much time and effort goes into assembling reliable financial information during diligence,” said Neufeld. “QoEAgent is designed to automate some of the most manual parts of that process.”

To power the platform, the founders partnered with Dr. Yeh, whose research focuses on artificial intelligence systems that augment human decision-making. Through the licensing agreement with CU Boulder Venture Partners, QoEAgent is commercializing technology developed within the university’s research ecosystem.

“This collaboration highlights how academic research in artificial intelligence can translate into practical tools that improve real-world financial workflows,” said Yeh.

“AI-enabled financial analysis will play an increasingly important role in private-company transactions,” said Cashman, “particularly in the fragmented small and lower-middle-market segment where many diligence processes remain manual.”

QoEAgent is currently working with advisors, investors, and transaction professionals as it continues developing the platform.
